The Ruff Sqwad family’s very own Fudz has released a new single. ‘Johnny’ features a guest verse from Splurgeboy Rocket over Detonator production, and a video has been released following a play from Mistajam on 1Xtra. P A P and Jme are among those to appear with Rocket and Fudz in the video, along with the fictional Johnny character referred to in the song.
The second quarter final of Red Bull’s Grime-A-Side has been released, with a trio of MCs from London – Reece West, Yizzy and captain C Cane – taking on a Liveprool team consisting of Jeopardy, Wavey Joe and captain Rico Don. Unlike the Bristol-Wolverhampton clash before it, this one feels much more direct throughout, with the Scousers reworking some of their London counterpart’s bars while Wavey Joe’s comprising connections to the capital are brought up.
With their many years in the music industry, J2K and Wiley would have had to deal with more than their fair share of sharks and snakes in the business, and well… they’ve had enough. J2K’s new single ‘Rotten Apples’ featuring Eskiboy is in defiance of the label piss-takers, one of whom appears to be the POV in the music video while tied up in the car boot.

After a spell of ill health, Row D has returned with not one but two projects. Following last month’s instruMENTALs EP is a new mixtape by the name of Don’t Get Bitter Get Better, and the North Londoner has just dropped a video from the latter for ‘What Don’t Kill You Makes You Stronger’, which he produced himself.
The mixtape is released 23 October but you can hear it before that if you grab a limited edition Row D USB, which features a whole heap of his music. More info on his releases can be heard in a recent Reprezent Radio interview with this writer (below), as well as a premiere of mixtape track ‘That’s Just How It Goes’.
He only released the Bank EP on the other side of summer, but Reece West is back already with more new music for ya headtop. His new EP 3D is ready and the lead single has been unveiled via SBTV. ‘When Will I Learn’ is produced by Kid D, with the video filmed by Saoud ‘SK’ Khalaf.
We’ve been enjoying the new Merky ACE project Personality Cult for the last couple of weeks, and the South Londoner has treated us to a second visual from it, this time for ‘Sold’, a track produced by fellow Tizzy Gang member Tre Mission. It follows last month’s lead single ‘Our Queen‘.
