Birmingham DJ & producer Preditah recently released the Blank Canvas Vol.1 EP on his new Circles label, which was mainly instrumentals save for the opening track ‘Touch Road’, which featured his brother C4. There is now a video for ‘Touch Road’ online which stars C4 in a car park wearing an Oorite-BBK jacket collab we need asap.
Forthcoming on Logan Sama’s Keepinitgrimy label is ‘Bad’, the new single from grime trio YGG, and following a number of plays on BBC 1Xtra in the last week or so, we now have an online unveiling courtesy of Pigeons & Planes. ‘Bad’ is produced by DJ Q, who also worked on Jammz’s latest single, and the bouncy vibe suits the shoulder-bobbing MC style of PK, Saint P & Lyrical Strally perfectly (just like their garage-esque debut ‘Okay’).

Following on from, and almost certainly inspired by, producer clash series BeatBoss, Red Bull Studios have announced their own live tournament with Riddim Rally, taking place in London over the coming weeks.
There will be four regional clashes taking place at Red Bull Studios London, with the first heat having taken place last night. The 32 producers taking part in Riddim Rally have already been chosen….except for one. There is a place up for grabs in the London clash (19 April), with open to online submissions. If interested, upload two original tracks to Soundcloud with the hashtag #RiddimRallyLDN and then tweet the links to @RBStudiosLDN by Sunday 9 April.

Next week sees the arrival of Ghost In The Blue, the debut album from Vision Crew MC/producer Ezro, and following the recent track ‘On My Own‘ he has released a music video for the album’s opener ‘Nothing’s The Same’. The track features a theme of optimism and determination to progress and evolve that is throughout the album, which is excellent by the way. Look out for an Ezro interview on RWD very soon!
London rap group PBGR celebrated the completion of their forthcoming project (title and release details TBA) and a team member’s birthday by flying out to the Swiss Alps, where they found time to record a music video, directed by No Colours, for new song ‘Need A Minute’. The pair were joined among the ice-capped mountains by Rayf, who guest features on the hook, and all are dressed appropriately for the winter season with the furs & shades combo not too disimilar to the recent Migos ‘T-Shirt’ video.
