In terms of the U.K. trap scene, Croydon rapper, Yung Fume, has got his foot firmly on the gas pedal and his hand on the gear stick, thrusted into gear five.

It was only the beginning of this year, he gifted us with the fourth instalment of his legendary mixtapes series, Noughts & Crosses and now he’s back with another one to close out the year, unleashing The Other Way on the people.

The 808-heavy, auto-tune filled tape sees Yung Fume speak on having to take another path, away from the perils of the roads and how the hard times have made him stronger.

Speaking on his mindset, Young Fume says, “the cover speaks for its self, I’m a leader, never been a follower. I create the waves, don’t ride em. When they said a couple years back I sound too American & I would never get anywhere, I laughed. Now look, I had a vision. When everyone was doing grime, I went…. ‘The Other Way’. To all my supporters if you have a vision and only you believe in it, stick to it. Trust me, nobody has got you like you got yourself.”

Press play on the project below and jump on Fumous’ trap wave.
