Def Jam have been signing a lot of interesting new talent recently, with their Undisputed compilation being the most obvious showcase of this.

However, one artist that didn’t appear on that record is Maxo, a rising L.A. rapper who’s been building a name for himself thanks to last year’s acclaimed SMILE project which showcases his talent for introspective lyricism and a penchant for soulful lo-fi beats.

He’s recently made his debut on the legendary label, with his new EP LIL BIG MAN which comes highly recommended. The ten track record runs for 30 minutes and boasts production from Swarvy, lastnamedavid, Vik and Roper Williams, with features courtesy of Lojji, Liv.E and PinkSiifu.
