Murkage Dave keeps things honest with new track ‘CAR BOMB’
Murkage Dave has been a busy man over the past twelve months, from throwing TONGA parties with Mike Skinner to DJing as a resident at Visions and putting together a mixtape in 48 hours to showcase the Manchester scene, he’s hit a multi-faceted creative stride. It’s not until this point though, that he’s really come out with new solo material. After six years in a band, he’s been taking the time to develop his new sound, and ‘CAR BOMB’ is the first product of that. Over a looped soul sample courtesy of his half-brother UsedTo, Dave keeps things bluntly honest.
“I wrote ‘CAR BOMB’ in 30 minutes,” he says. “It was easier than speaking to someone. People keep asking if it’s actually me singing, like they don’t know I’ve got soul. Nobody wants to give man credit for s**t.”
