Murkage Dave has been on a great trajectory this year. From his debut solo EP, D.A.V.E Pt.1, with the incredibly candid ‘Car Bomb’, to his work with Mike Skinner and Tonga Balloon Gang – who recently dropped the Jaykae and Mayhem NODB-assisted ‘CCTV’Dave has shown impressive artistic growth and versatility since the break up of the Murkage band last year.

This continues with ‘It Was Me’, a new single from French producer Hologram Lo, which features Dave as guest vocalist.

“I always used to run into Hologram Lo on the road when Murkage were touring in France a few years back,” says Dave. “Not only is he an incredible producer, but to me he is the definition of French swag; his garms, his hair, his attitude – and this comes across in the music. When the band broke up and I began experimenting with new styles, he was one of the first guys to reach out to work with me, which was a huge confidence boost at the time. Once I caught the vibe I knew I had to jump in on my Mystery Man s**t with this one.”
