Nike‘s most classic of boots has been given a full revamp with the Tiempo Legend seeing an integration of their revolutionary Flyknit technology for the first time. The Tiempo Legend 7 sees Flyknit incorporated to provide a more dynamic fit and an improved lockdown, while the classic premium leather remains for a plus feel and touch.

The classy premium, Tiempo, has reduced its weight by 22% from the previous Tiempo Legend 6, but it’s in the details across the boot that tell the story of its evolution. Flyknit through the midfoot encases Flyire cables, which can be adjusted to preference, with the flexible, lofted Flyknit through the tongue helping to provide cushioned coverage atop the foot.

With premium leather across the toebox, Nike have developed a Fit-Mesh to stop overstretching. Woven like a Chinese finger trap, the Fit-Mesh is a floating lining attached to the raised biteline of the boot and not the leather and is designed to get tighter, the more pressure you apply.

Joining Flyknit and the Fit-Mesh in the new Nike Tiempo Legend 7 is the brand new Nike Hyperstability plate, which has been designed for multi-directional movements while shaving 60 grams off the boot’s weight. Boasting a mixture of jagged conical studs, chevrons and blades, the plate aims to provide a precise traction pattern through its Finite Element Analysis.

The Nike Tiempo Legend 7 is released 10 July through
