“The greatest rapper of all time died on Match 9th,” a fact we remember because of a lyric by a rapper who definitely was not the greatest of all time. One of the most impactful moments in the history of hip hop music, this week marks 20 years Notorious B.I.G was slain in a still unsolved drive-by shooting and while Christopher Wallace‘s legacy continues to be felt as a master of his craft and a true pioneer for both the genre and the culture of hip hop, New York and urban music, it’s hardly believable that he was just 24 years old at the time of his passing.

While Lil Yachty might well have thought him overrated, Biggie’s greatness is undeniable and marking two decades since his passing his estate are set to debut a designer label in his name called Hypnotize. Launching with an exclusive pop-up retail installation in London this weekend, the collection features t-shirts, hoodies, bomber jackets, snapbacks, bags and other accessories.

Opening in the Camden Market, Provender Stables Yard Entrace at Chalk Farm Road, NW1 8AH with music from the UK’s best hip hop selectors Livin’ Proof from 10 March to 12 March from 11am to 7pm.
