RWD TV: COMMUNITY SERVICE GOES WRONG IN BRITISH HORROR FLICK INBRED

Directed by Alex Chandon, Emmerdale’s Paddy Kirk stars as a chainsaw wielding Inbred henchman in the forthcoming UK Horror.

The idea of an Inbred agricultural community killing any outsider whose bad-luck leads them to the secluded fields of the social and physical pariahs is one all city dwellers can probably relate to. What do “farm people” get up to out there? So Alex Chandon’s Inbred starring Jo Hartley (This is England 86/88, iLL Manors), Seamus O’Neill (Dead Man’s Shoes), Nadine Rose Mulkerrin (Waterloo Road) and Dominic Brunt (Emmerdale’s Paddy Kirk) taps into a very real fear, something a good Horror film must do.

Four young urban offenders and their care workers embark on a community service weekend in the strange, remote Yorkshire village of Mortlake, which prides on keeping itself to itself. Visiting the local pub, ‘The Dirty Hole’ which serves home-made (and suspiciously hairy) pork scratchings, they quickly realise they’ve made the wrong holiday choice.
