We’ve been following the SLANG journey since announcing himself with YAY (You Alright, Yeah?) four months back. Following YAY with a video for Sweet Lies, the singer-songwriter-producer has stepped things up with the release of his first complete project; the SLANG EP.

Available through the major streaming services, SLANG‘s SLANG EP, according to the singer, was written when, “I was homeless and one of my dodgy friends gave me an opportunity to live in a house where he used to do his dodgy dealings.” Offering that, “Recording verses and writing guitars parts were often interrupted by the police raiding the house or a bailiff trying to break in.”

Featuring unheard songs What Happened To You, Allegations and Grown, the aforementioned Sweet Lies also finds a place on the four-track project. Serving as a strong introduction to SLANG the artist, the SLANG EP also helps to transition fans more aware of his production work for the likes of Wiley, WSTRN and Marina & The Diamonds under the name Dan Dare.

You can listen to the SLANG EP on Soundcloud before grabbing it from any of the iTunes, Tidal, Apple Music or Spotify platforms. You can also see SLANG live in the UK at upcoming dates across the country.
