Late Toronto rapper Smoke Dawg was murdered last Summer, before he got to release the debut album he’d been working on.

The Halal Gang member was a huge fan of UK music. Before his death he’d released music with Skepta and even delivered a Fire In The Booth while he was in London, and this influence shows across his posthumous album, Struggle Before Glory, which was released on Friday.

The 13-track LP features appearances from London’s Giggs, Fredo and AJ Tracey, Toronto’s SAFE, Jay Whiss, Jimmy Prime and Puffy L’z and Brooklyn’s Jay Critch.
