21-year-old singer syd B has been emerging over the past year with a strong feature for UK producer Monro and a handful of solo singles, but makes her formal introduction with her debut Water Me EP.

The carefully crafted five track collection showcase the L.A. singer’s personal blend of R&B and Neo-soul influences, with a sole feature courtesy of Boston’s Floyd Fuji.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to experience, share, and be vulnerable with some special people, and with this vulnerability I have also put myself in positions where my sense of self has been washed away rather than watered and nourished,” she says of the release. “These songs explain and allow me to cope with my own ego and the ego of those I surround myself with, power, control, self worth, and intimacy.”
