With a new EP on the way next month, Tertia May returns with a double-single ‘Twenty Two/ Book Of Jonah’.

The pair will appear on the Londoner’s forthcoming Not From Concentrate, and show two different sides to her soulful sound.

“I wrote ‘Twenty Two’ on my birthday and I knew I wanted it to be an up lifting song which people can dance to,” she explains. “It’s about growing up and appreciating what you have achieved and being confident in everything you do whilst spreading joy with loved ones.”

‘The Book of Jonah’ features Brooklyn rapper Goya Gumbani: “I was hanging out in the studio, with Goya, (producer and co-writer) Subculture and my guitarist Cam May, when we decided about 3 hours in, to start jamming and making some music,” she says. “The theme of this song is about trying to run away from your problems, however big or small, and not letting it consume you.”

Not From Concentrate is out on 28th June via Twisted Hearts Records.
