North London’s Tom Tripp returns from a brief hiatus with new single ‘TAM’.

After a massive 2017, which saw him appearing on Mura Masa‘s self-titled debut album – for which Tom received a Grammy nomination – and releasing his breakthrough single ‘Aurelia’ via Nao‘s Little Tokyo Recordings, Tom suffered a few set backs including a serious car accident last year.

Now the artist and producer has taken some time to focus on self-care and re-centre himself creatively, and is more energised than ever before as he prepares to release a new project entitled FLAG via Polydor Records.

‘TAM’ is the first track we’re hearing from the project, and began life as a beat on Tom‘s laptop in 2016 that he couldn’t quite finish until he met Grades earlier this year and the two completed it together.

“I had no idea where to take this song. I had a million versions,” says Tom. “It was just a bedroom beat I made when I was 19 listening to a bunch of Daft Punk. Grades heard the tune and loved it so when he offered to work on it I told him to do whatever he wanted. He took it to a whole new level. Don’t think I would have ever finished it if it wasn’t for him.”

The single comes accompanied by Tom‘s first ever video, directed by James Callum, which you can watch above, then be sure to support ‘TAM’ via your preferred streaming service.
