Walsall-raised, London-based teenager Jorja Smith caught us and plenty others by surprise last month with her debut ‘Blue Lights’, a Dizzee-inspired song about a guilty conscience when there’s nothing to be guilty about. Stormzy was among the biggest early supporters of the song, now with over 450,000 plays on SoundCloud, while the likes of BBC 1Xtra, Beats 1 and Reprezent Radio have all since playlisted the track.

Now, not only has ‘Blue Lights’ appeared on iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music but we also have a video to take in. Premiered by i-D, the Drew Cox-directed visual looks at the different paths a man could take in his life.
