Wiley will hit the big screen in a forthcoming biopic…
Grime has continued to gain more exposure over recent years, and that continues when Wiley makes his way to the big screen with a forthcoming biopic.
Directed by Adam Smith, for Pulse Films and BMG, the film will follow Wiley from pirate radio to becoming the globally renowned pioneer he is today.
Wiley sees the move as one that will help others:
“This is my life, my highs and lows, but it’s not really all about me,” he told Variety. “When I make music, help the scene or even do something like this, it’s like I’m not alone any more. It’s for people who grew up like me. I’m doing it to help people who are lost like me.”
The dramatised retelling of Wiley‘s life story will be written by Sabrina Mahfouz and Marisa Clifford. Amongst those executive producing are Wiley‘s manager John Woolf, his sister Janaya Cowie and SB.TV‘s Jamal Edwards.
